About Us

Our Story
In 2014 when we started Old Village Farm, a 30-acre historic property on the Delaware River, our mission was to figure out how to supply our community and the tristate with the most unique mix of hand-crafted products. We launched with Daikon (a peppery-flavored white radish) and soon expanded to 60-different types of vegetables then added in fruits, DIY food kits, mushroom farms, wooden objects and spices. We believe in organic and sustainable practices, and are currently in the middle of getting our USDA Organic Certification. When we are not at the farm, you can find us at Farmers Markets in New York City, Westfield, Newark, Union, Rahway and South Orange.

Old Village Farm has partnered with The Newark Urban Agriculture Cooperative by supplying them with unique produce that their urban farmers are not growing on a larger scale.

We have been very happy to see the local agriculture community come together through The Urban Agriculture Cooperative creating a collection of market opportunities and sense of community together.
